Golgi Psychology is run by Dr Linda Raleigh.
Linda is a registered practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society. Linda completed her Doctoral Training in Counselling Psychology at City University London in 2013. As a Counselling Psychologist, Linda’s training included Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural therapies, though Linda’s chosen specialism was Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Linda has completed a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited certificate in Counselling Children. Linda’s Doctoral thesis was on ‘Young adults’ experience of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)’ and she has trained in cognitive assessment.
Linda has previously worked in Psychological Therapies in the NHS across a range of clinical issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, phobia, life transition, stress and work-related problems mainly using CBT. In addition, Linda has experience of working therapeutically with PTSD in a national veterans’ charity and has worked as a volunteer therapist in a national children’s charity with children and adolescents with complex needs.
Linda is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and holds post-graduate certificates in Adult Career Planning and Appreciative Inquiry (AI). With over twenty years of experience in recruitment, training and development and international career consultancy, Linda draws on her experience, training and interest in positive psychology to support clients with career transition and work-related problems.
